District Judge Appointment: Gibb
The King has appointed Katherine Gibb to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable David Lammy MP and the Lady Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Baroness Carr of Walton-on-the-Hill.
The Lady Chief Justice has deployed her to the Western Circuit, based at Swindon County Court, with effect from 21 September 2026.
Background Information
Katherine Gibb will be known as District Judge Gibb. She was called to the Bar (Gray’s Inn) in 1999. She was appointed as a Fee paid Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, Health, Education and Social Care Chamber and as a Fee paid Employment Judge in 2021. She was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2024.
