District Judge Appointment: Hussain

The Queen has appointed Anitra Hussain to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Robert Buckland QC MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.  

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed her to the South Eastern Circuit, based within the West London Court Group with effect from 7 October 2019.

Anitra Hussain, aged 50 will be known as District Judge Hussain. She was called to the Bar (I) in 1994. She was appointed as a Fee-paid Adjudicator of the Road User Charging Tribunal in 2006, and as a Deputy District Judge in 2013.
