District Judge Appointment: Leisa Marie Stuart
The King has appointed Leisa Marie Stuart to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Alex Chalk KC MP and the former Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The former Lord Chief Justice deployed her to the Northern Circuit, based at St Helens County Court, with effect from 11 December 2023.
Leisa Marie Stuart will be known as District Judge Leisa Stuart. She was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in 1994. She was appointed as a Member of the Valuation Tribunal in 2017, and a Deputy District Judge in 2019.
