District Judge Appointment: Luthfur Rahman

The Queen has appointed Luthfur Rahman to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Robert Buckland QC MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Canterbury Combined Court Centre with effect from 4 November 2019.

Luthfur Rahman, aged 46 will be known as District Judge Luthfur Rahman. He was called to the Bar (M) in 1996.
He was appointed as an Adjudicator of the Road User Charging Tribunal in 2004. He was appointed as Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, assigned to both the Property Chamber and the Social Entitlement Chamber in 2011. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2013 and was authorised to sit in the Immigration and Asylum Chamber in 2014.
