District Judge Appointment: Mackley
The Queen has appointed David John Mackley to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Robert Buckland QC MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the Northern Circuit, based at Carlisle Combined Court with effect from 2 December 2019.

David John Mackley, aged 45 will be known as District Judge Mackley. He was called to the Bar (L) in 1997 and was admitted as a Solicitor in 2001. He was appointed as a Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, assigned to the Social Entitlement Chamber in 2013 and as a Deputy District Judge in 2015.
