District Judge Appointment: Malek
The Queen has appointed Mohammed Asif Malek to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Robert Buckland QC MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the Midland Circuit, based at Birmingham Civil and Family Justice Centre with effect from 2 December 2019.

Mohammed Asif Malek, aged 44 will be known as District Judge Malek. He was called to the Bar (I) in 1998 and admitted as a Solicitor in 2002. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2010 and as a Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, assigned to the Tax Chamber in 2019.
