The King has appointed Rebecca McGregor to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Shabana Mahmood MP and the Lady Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Baroness Carr of Walton-on-the-Hill. 

The Lady Chief Justice has deployed her to the Northern Circuit, based at Carlisle Combined Court, with effect from 18 November 2024.

Background Information

Rebecca McGregor will be known as District Judge McGregor. She was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in 2004. She was appointed as a Fee-paid Member of the First-tier Tribunal, assigned to the Social Entitlement Chamber in 2021 and as a Deputy District Judge in 2022. In 2023, she was appointed as a Fee paid Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, assigned to the Social Entitlement Chamber, and as a Fee paid Employment Judge.
