District Judge Appointment: OmoRegie

The Queen has appointed Edwin OmoRegie to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Robert Buckland QC MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Maidstone County Court with effect from 1 October 2019.

Edwin OmoRegie, will be known as District Judge OmoRegie. He was admitted as a Solicitor in 2002. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2010 and as a Fee-paid Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, assigned to the Social Entitlement Chamber in 2013. He was assigned to sit as a Judge in the Health, Education and Social Care Chamber (Special Educational Needs and Disability) in 2017 and authorised to sit in the Criminal Injuries Compensation in 2018.
