District Judge Appointment: Philip Scott
The King has appointed Philip Scott to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Alex Chalk KC MP and the former Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The former Lord Chief Justice deployed him to the Northern Circuit, based at West Cumbria County Court, with effect from 2 January 2024.
Philip Scott will be known as District Judge Philip Scott. He was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in 1993. He was appointed as a Recorder in 2018.
