District Judge Appointment: Pickering

The King has appointed Leon Pickering to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable David Lammy MP and the Lady Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Baroness Carr of Walton-on-the-Hill. 

The Lady Chief Justice has deployed him to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Central London County Court, with effect from 30 March 2026.

Background Information

Leon Pickering will be known as District Judge Leon Pickering. He was called to the Bar (Lincoln’s Inn) in 2010. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge and as a Fee paid Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, assigned to the Health Education and Social Care Chamber in 2021.
