District Judge Appointment: Pinfield

The King has appointed Barnaby Pinfield to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable David Lammy MP and the Lady Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Baroness Carr of Walton-on-the-Hill. 

The Lady Chief Justice has deployed him to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Central Family Court, with effect from 27 April 2026.

Background Information

Barnaby Pinfield will be known as District Judge Pinfield. He was called to the Bar (Lincoln’s Inn) in 2002. He was appointed as a Fee paid Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, assigned to the Social Entitlement Chamber, in 2019. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2022.
