District Judge Appointment: Shazia Ahmed

The Queen has appointed Shazia Ahmed to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Dominic Raab MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed her to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Bromley County Court with effect from 10 January 2022.

Background Information

Shazia Ahmed, aged 47, will be known as District Judge Shazia Ahmed. She was called to the Bar (Middle Temple) in 1997. She was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2019.
