District Judge Appointment: Uppal
The Queen has appointed Ranjit Singh Uppal to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Robert Buckland QC MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the North Eastern Circuit, based at Doncaster County Court as the principal court with sittings at Sheffield Combined Court effect from 30 November 2020.
Background Information
Ranjit Singh Uppal, aged 47, will be known as District Judge Uppal. He was admitted to the Roll in 1997. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge 2010.
