The Queen has appointed Alexander Boyd to be a District Judge (Magistrates’ courts) on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Dominic Raab MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the Northern Circuit, based at Blackburn Magistrates’ Court with effect from 22 November 2021.

Background Information

 Alexander Boyd, aged 38, will be known as District Judge (Magistrates’ courts) Boyd. He was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in 2009. He was appointed as Deputy District Judge (Magistrates’ courts) in 2019.
