The King has appointed Lucy Hogarth to be a District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Dominic Raab MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon. 

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed her to the Midland Circuit, based at Birmingham Magistrates’ Court with effect from 3 January 2023.

Background Information

Lucy Hogarth will be known as District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) Hogarth. She was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in 2002. She was appointed as a Deputy District Judge (Magistrates’ Court) in 2019 and as a Deputy District Judge in 2021.
