The Queen has appointed Nigel Lloyd McLean to be a District Judge (Magistrates’ courts) on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Robert Buckland QC MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.  

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Croydon Magistrates’ Courts with effect from 3 February 2020.

Nigel Lloyd McLean, aged 57 will be known as District Judge (Magistrates’ courts) McLean. He was admitted to the Roll in 1999. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge (Magistrates’ courts) in 2012.
