The Queen has appointed Neeta Minhas to be a District Judge (Magistrates’ courts) on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Dominic Raab MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed her to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Westminster Magistrates’ Court with effect from 4 November 2021.

Background Information

Neeta Minhas, aged 42, will be known as District Judge (Magistrates’ courts) Minhas. She was admitted to the Roll in 2004. She was appointed as a Fee-paid Judge, assigned to Immigration and Asylum Chamber in 2019. She was appointed as a Deputy District Judge (Magistrates’ courts) in 2019 and as a Deputy District Judge in 2020.
