District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) Appointment: O’Connor
The King has appointed Joseph O’Connor to be a District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Shabana Mahmood MP and the Lady Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable the Baroness Carr of Walton-on-the-Hill.
The Lady Chief Justice has deployed him to the Midlands Circuit, based at North Staffordshire Justice Centre with effect from 1 July 2025.
Background Information
Joseph O’Connor will be known as District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) O’Connor. He was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in 2006. He was appointed as a Fee Paid Tribunal Judge, assigned to the Health, Education and Social Chamber in 2023.
