District Judge (Magistrates’ courts) Appointment: Oliver
The Queen has appointed Michael Oliver to be a District Judge (Magistrates’ courts) on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Dominic Raab MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the London and South Eastern Circuit, based out of Westminster Magistrate’s Court (although, he will also hear cases at other courts in the region) with effect from 1 November 2021.

Michael Oliver, aged 40, will be known as District Judge (Magistrates’ courts) Oliver. He was called to the Bar (Gray’s Inn) in 2005 and he was admitted to the Roll in 2011. He was appointed as an Environment and Traffic Adjudicator in 2017 and as a Deputy District Judge in 2019. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge (Magistrates’ courts) in 2019.
