District Judge (Magistrates’ courts) Appointment: Ross Johnson
The Queen has appointed Ross William Johnson to be a District Judge (Magistrates’ courts) on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Robert Buckland QC MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Thames Magistrates’ Court with effect from 3 February 2020.

Ross William Johnson, aged 42, will be known as District Judge (Magistrates’ courts) Ross Johnson. He was admitted to the Roll in 2002. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge (Magistrates’ courts) in 2017, as a Recorder in 2018 and as a Fee-paid Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, assigned to the Social Entitlement Chamber in 2019.
