The Queen has appointed Sarah Emily Turnock to be a District Judge (Magistrates’ courts) on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Robert Buckland QC MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed her to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Thames Magistrates’ Court with effect from 24 February 2020.

Sarah Emily Turnock, aged 34 will be known as District Judge (Magistrates’ courts) Turnock. She was called to the Bar (I) in 2007. She was appointed as a Deputy District Judge (Magistrates’ courts) in 2017.
