The King has appointed Matthew Bone to be a District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Dominic Raab MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon. 

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Westminster Magistrates’ Court with effect from 16 January 2023.

Background Information

Matthew Bone will be known as District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) Bone. He was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in 1999. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge (Magistrates’ Court) in 2019.
