Family Presiding Judges Appointed

The former Lord Chief Justice, Lord Burnett, following consultation with the Lord Chancellor, agreed that the existing Family Division Liaison Judges are to be appointed as Family Presiding Judges.
The title of Senior Family Division Liaison Judge will also be replaced with Lead Family Presiding Judge.
Background
Family Division Liaison Judges are to be reappointed as Family Presiding Judges. Therefore, they will retain their existing appointment dates and duties. They will continue to play a key leadership role in the Family Courts in their respective Circuits and to work closely with their fellow Presiding Judges.
