High Court Appointment: Ellenbogen

The Queen is pleased to approve the appointment of a Justice of the High Court. This appointment will take effect from 2 November 2020.  It is anticipated that further announcements will be made.

The candidate approved as a High Court Judge is Naomi Lisa Ellenbogen QC.

This appointment will fill a vacancy in the High Court following elevations to the Court of Appeal and confirmed retirements. Naomi Lisa Ellenbogen QC

Naomi Lisa Ellenbogen QC, aged 50 will be known as The Honourable Mrs Justice Ellenbogen. She was Called to the Bar (G) in 1992 and took Silk in 2010. She was appointed as a Recorder in 2016 and as a Deputy High Court Judge in 2017.

She will take up appointment on 2 November 2020 Consequential to retirements in the High Court and the elevations to the Court of Appeal .

The Lord Chief Justice will assign Naomi Lisa Ellenbogen QC to the Queen’s Bench Division.
