High Court Judge Appointment

The Queen has been pleased to approve the appointment of a Justice of the High Court. The appointment will take effect from 13 January 2020. It is anticipated that a further appointment will be announced in the coming months.

The candidate approved as a High Court Judge is David Foxton QC.

This appointment will fill a vacancy in the High Court following elevations to the Court of Appeal and confirmed retirements. David Foxton QC

David Andrew Foxton QC, aged 54 will be known as The Honourable Mr Justice Foxton. He was Called to the Bar (G) in 1989 and took Silk in 2006. He was appointed as a Recorder in 2009 and was appointed as a Deputy High Court Judge sitting in the Queen’s Bench Division and Chancery Division in 2016.
