Judge of the First-tier Tribunal Appointment: Barnett

The Senior President of Tribunals, Lord Justice Dingemans has appointed Tribunal Judge Barnett to be a Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, assigned to the Immigration and Asylum Chamber, with effect from 5 January 2026.
Edward Barnett will be known as Tribunal Judge Barnett. He was called to the bar (Inner Temple) in 2013. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge and a Deputy District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) in February 2024, and as a Fee-paid First-tier Tribunal Judge in July 2024.
