The Senior President of Tribunals, the Right Honourable Lord Justice Dingemans has appointed Sharmistha Michaels to be a Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, assigned to the Immigration and Asylum Chamber, with effect from 2 February 2026.
Sharmistha Michaels will be known as Tribunal Judge Michaels. She was called to the bar (Middle Temple) in 2002. She was appointed as a Fee-paid First-tier Tribunal Judge in 2025.
