Judge of the First-tier Tribunal Appointment: Rakhim

The Senior President of Tribunals, the Right Honourable Lord Justice Dingemans has appointed Tanveer Rakhim to be a Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, assigned to the Immigration and Asylum Chamber, with effect from 13 April 2026.
Tanveer Rakhim will be known as Tribunal Judge Rakhim. He was admitted to the roll in 2012. He was appointed as Deputy Chairman of the Agricultural Lands Tribunal for Wales in 2020, and as Chairman of the Residential Property Tribunal for Wales in 2021. In 2023 he was appointed as a Fee-paid First-tier Tribunal Judge and as an Employment Judge. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2024, and as Chairman of the Police Appeals Tribunal in 2025.
