The Senior President of Tribunals has appointed Michaela Thomas to be a Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, Immigration and Asylum Chamber with effect from 27 May 2024.
Michaela Thomas will be known as Judge Michaela Thomas. She was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in 1993. She was appointed as a Fee-paid Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, Social Entitlement Chamber in 2013, and as a Fee-paid Tribunal Judge, Mental Health Tribunal for Wales in 2021.
