The King has appointed Karim-ullah Akbar Khan to be a salaried Judge of the Upper Tribunal on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Alex Chalk KC MP and the Senior President of Tribunals, the Right Honourable Sir Keith Lindblom.

The Senior President of Tribunals has assigned him to the Immigration and Asylum Chamber with effect from 16 September 2024.

Background Information

Karim-ullah Akbar Khan will be known as Upper Tribunal Judge Khan. He was called to the Bar (Middle Temple) in 1990. He was appointed as a Legally Qualified Chair of the Police Misconduct Tribunal Panels in 2016.
