The King has appointed Gemma Loughran to be a salaried Judge of the Upper Tribunal on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Alex Chalk KC MP and the Senior President of Tribunals, the Right Honourable Sir Keith Lindblom.
The Senior President of Tribunals has assigned her to the Immigration and Asylum Chamber with effect from 29 July 2024.
Gemma Loughran will be known as Upper Tribunal Judge Loughran. She was called to the Bar (Inner Temple) in 2008. She was appointed as a Fee-paid Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, Immigration and Asylum Chamber in 2019.
