The King has appointed Samantha Rastogi to be a salaried Judge of the Upper Tribunal on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Alex Chalk KC MP and the Senior President of Tribunals, the Right Honourable Sir Keith Lindblom.
The Senior President of Tribunals has assigned her to the Immigration and Asylum Chamber with effect from 8 July 2024.
Samantha Rastogi will be known as Upper Tribunal Judge Rastogi. She was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in 1996. She was appointed as a Fee-paid Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, Immigration and Asylum Chamber in 2011, and as a Deputy District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) in 2017.
