Master of the King’s Bench Division: Stephen Byass
The King has appointed Stephen Byass to be a Master of the King’s Bench Division on the advice of the Lady Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Baroness Carr of Walton-on-the-Hill.
The Lady Chief Justice has assigned him to the King’s Bench Division with effect from 22 September 2025.
Background Information
Stephen Byass was admitted to the roll of solicitors in April 1994. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2010 and as a District Judge in 2016 and was appointed to the Reading County Court and subsequently in July 2019 to the Bath County Court.
