Senior Circuit Judge, Designated Family Judge Appointment: Greenan
The Lady Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Baroness Carr Of Walton-On-The-Hill has appointed Her Honour Judge Greenan to be a Senior Circuit Judge, Designated Family Judge, based at the Leeds County Court, with effect from 1 September 2026.
Background Information
Sarah Greenan will continue to be known as Her Honour Judge Greenan. She was called to the Bar (Gray’s Inn) in 1987. She was appointed as a fee-paid Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, Property Chamber, in 2002. She was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2015. She was appointed as a District Judge and as a Recorder in 2016, and as a Circuit Judge in 2022. In 2024, she was authorised to act as a Judge of the High Court under s9(1) sitting in the Family Division.
