Senior Circuit Judge, Designated Family Judge Appointment: Harris
The Lady Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Baroness Carr Of Walton-On-The-Hill has appointed Her Honour Judge Harris to be a Senior Circuit Judge, Designated Family Judge based at Wolverhampton Combined Court Centre, with effect from 5 April 2024.
Background Information
Sonia Harris will continue to be known as Her Honour Judge Harris. She was called to the Bar (Lincoln’s Inn) in 1998. She was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2010, a District Judge in 2014 and as a Circuit Judge in 2018. She was authorised to sit as a High Court Judge in the Family Division under section 9(1) of the Senior Courts Act 1981 in 2018.
