The Lord Chancellor and Deputy Prime Minister has appointed The Honourable Mr Justice Jonathan Swift to be the Chairman of SIAC, POAC and PAAC in succession to The Honourable Mr Justice Jay. His appointment took effect on 15 October 2025.
Background
Mr Justice Swift was appointed a High Court Judge in 2018. He sits in the King’s Bench Division. Between 2020 and 2024 he was the Judge in Charge of the Administrative Court. He has been a judicial member of the Special Immigration Appeals Commission since 2020.
