About the Commercial Court

The Commercial Court is one of the main international centres for commercial litigation. It has been in existence for over 125 years. Every year disputes worth billions of pounds are decided in the Court before judges with extensive experience of commercial litigation who apply flexible procedures – developed by the Court in conjunction with its users – to provide speedy and efficient dispute resolution. It attracts users from around the world providing a platform for commercial dispute resolution from users of every business type facilitating trade and the development of the digital global economy. It also acts as the supervisory court for arbitrations based in England and Wales, supporting London’s vibrant international arbitration business, and incorporates the Admiralty Court.
