Future Events



On 10 April Mr Justice Bright will chair an event on s. 44 of the Arbitration Act 1996 organised by the London Shipping Law Centre. Registration is available on the Forum’s website (external link).

Mr Justice Foxton will be giving a lecture to the London Solicitors’ Litigation Association on 11 April 2024 entitled: “Blue on Blue” Litigation: When the Funder and the Funded Fall Out” The lecture is being hosted in the auditorium at Hogan Lovells LLP, and will begin at 6pm.

On 20 and 21 April 2024 the fifth Full Meeting of The Standing International Forum of Commercial Courts (SIFoCC), will take place in Doha. The delegation for England & Wales will comprise the Lady Chief Justice, the Master of the Rolls and the Judge in Charge of the Commercial Court. The subjects for roundtable judicial discussion will include AI, the relationship between Courts, arbitration and mediation, case management, corporate legal responsibility, commercial litigation and arbitration funding, and transnational judicial cooperation. The Commercial Court will host its latest judicial/academic/practitioner seminar at 5.30pm on Tuesday 7 May 2024, The topic is Professional Negligence. The event will be chaired by the Lady Chief Justice. The academic contributor will be Professor Janet O’Sullivan of Selwyn College, Cambridge. Mrs Justice Dias will be taking the judicial slot and Leigh-Ann Mulcahy KC represents practitioners. The seminar will be a hybrid event, taking place in person at Ashworth Centre, Lincoln’s Inn, and also online. More details on the event poster (PDF). Between 3 and 7 June many of the Court’s judges will be participating in events forming part of London International Disputes Week 2024. The programme can be found on the LIDW website (external link).


Mr Justice Calver will be giving a talk to Combar on “Crypto currency fraud: legal remedies in a digital age”, details TBC.
