The Senior President of Tribunals, the Right Honourable Lord Justice Dingemans has appointed Elena Feeney as Chamber President of the First-tier Tribunal of the Immigration and Asylum Chamber with effect from 1 June 2026.
Background Information
Elena Feeney will be known as Judge Elena Feeney. She was called to the Bar (Middle Temple) in 1999. She was appointed as a fee-paid Judge of the First-tier Tribunal Social Entitlement Chamber in 2011 and was also assigned to the Immigration and Asylum Chamber in 2014. Between 2015 and 2020, she was an Associate Judge in the Sovereign Base Areas of Cyprus. She was appointed as a salaried Judge of the First-tier Tribunal Immigration and Asylum Chamber in 2018, as a Resident Judge in 2024 and has been Acting Chamber President since 28 August 2025.
