Requesting a visit from a Diversity and Community Relations Judge or Magistrate

Diversity and Community Relations Judges (DCRJs) and Magistrates (DCRMs) play an important role in bridging the gap between the judiciary and the community.
Their activities inform and educate people about the reality of what it is to be a judge and helps remove the myths and misconceptions that prevail. It is hoped this will encourage wider interest in the law and ultimately judicial office.
If you would like one of these judges and/or a magistrate to visit your school or university either in person or via an online session, you may request this by completing this online form (external link).
As the judiciary are keen to engage with student populations from backgrounds underrepresented within the judiciary, priority will be given to requests from:
- Non-fee-paying schools
- Schools in areas of higher socio-economic disadvantage
- Schools with diverse student populations
When requesting a visit, please provide us with as much information as possible, including telephone numbers. You can also reach us at schools@judiciary.uk
If you are a charity or business and you would be interested in a visit from a judge or magistrate, please contact us at diversity@judiciary.uk
