Appointment of the President Of The Employment Appeal Tribunal: Eady

The Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon, has appointed The Honourable Mrs Justice Eady to be President of the Employment Appeal Tribunal. She took up post on 1 February 2022 and succeeds The Honourable Mr Justice Choudhury who stood down from the role on 31 December 2021 having served 3 years as President.

Background information

The Honourable Mrs Justice Jennifer Eady sat as a fee-paid Employment Judge from 2001-2008, and became a Recorder in 2004, before being appointed as a Senior Circuit Judge for the Employment Appeal Tribunal in 2013 until she became a High Court Judge, assigned to the Queen’s Bench Division, in 2019.
