Appointment of President of the Mental Health Review Tribunal for Wales: Jane McConnell
The Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Shabana Mahmood MP, has appointed Jane McConnell to be President of the Mental Health Review Tribunal for Wales with effect from 1 October 2025.
Background Information
Jane McConnell was called to the Bar (Lincoln’s Inn) in 2006. In June 2015, she was appointed Lead Judge of the First Tier Tribunal assigned to the Health, Education and Social Care Chamber (HESC) Special Educational Needs and Disability, In June 2023, she was appointed President of the Education Tribunal Wales.
